Slowly but surely, Erni is on an upward trajectory. If he carries on at this rate he'll break the 80 barrier and be not far off his PCP score. He's going to miss the next three weeks due to work so that's a chance for the other riflemen to catch up.

An easy one to update this week - no indoor 10m, no Erni or myself to set up the 50m targets so no new scores on any of the comps.

Just little ol' me shooting in the PCP comp this week. Another 10/10.

Things are more interesting in Zebedee World though as Malcolm had to give up his seat to Erni - a 10 and nine'll do that for you - and Norrie put in some solid scores too. Although Norrie hasn't put in as many rounds as Erni, there's only 0.2 of a point difference in their averages and that's where the real competition is here. Gentlemen, keep those scores coming and may the best man win.

Spring guns only this week. Erni got an eight and a nine, Norrie two nines (possible Mafia nickname there?) and Nick H had a small blip with a six and eight.

Damn, that's tight between Erni and Norrie.

I think it's safe to say that no one new is going to arrive on the scene with a burst of high scoring rounds so it's now a head to head with Erni and Norrie to see who'll be crowned King Of The Springers. Norrie's two nines puts him within sight of the top spot with one round to go and it's likely that Erni will be watching with more than mild interest.

I am Indeed!
If Norrie maintains his form (which he almost certainly will), it is his to win and I will accept defeat graciously.

It's not a done deal yet - there's a noble sporting tradition in Scotland of snatching defeat from the jaws of certain victory.

As long as I crack 80, Iโll be happy !๐๐ No you won't. This is to close to call. It all comes down to pressure and how you handle it.

How did Norrie handle the pressure? Well, he shot an eight so decide for yourself. That leaves him and Erni tied in the top spot meaning we need some sort of decider - suggestions on a postcard please although I vote for...

Gunfight at the O.K. Corral?
Will also be out of town next week and as it looks now possibly also on the AGM.
That leaves the 8th on Nov to settle the score. Suggest we both have 1 more go on the 8th and if we tie; we go for a "sudden death".
