SCHOOL’S FINISHED!!! 😁
Right, am I correct in thinking that I still have one night left to complete my Los Pistoleros entry?
One night, 90 shots, and a reasonable chance of a top-three finish! 😜
Best blow the dust off my trusty old Gat and get some dry firing practice in.
See you Wednesday…

Ps. ...and I may have ceded first place to Bri in the open pistol, but couldn't suppress a smirk when I realised (after adding-up his scores and congratulating him as he finished his round #10 cards) -that he'd only been shooting two-handed with his red dot -equipped HW40 (snigger). R

Steve.
Yep, a reasonable chance of third place. However, you'll have to aim higher if you want some silverware as, due to the low take-up and participation this year, there's only awards for the winner and runner-up. The same goes for the Open Pistol comp and we're not even bothering with the Rifle one.
You took the last Pistol League right to the wire and you're doing the same again - there's a definite pattern emerging here, I think.

90 competitive shots (not even just 90 shots) is a lot of pressure. Every single one counts, there no “had an off night, I’ll practice for next week”. No scores dropping off as tiredness, negative thoughts set in. On the bright side, this maybe the week when all the planets align and you score your best ever - but how often, after an out of characteristic high score, do we hear “right, going to stop there”?
Forty on every one of the eighteen cards is needed and would rightly deserve the trophy.
All the best for Wednesday. Don’t forget the ‘Borg’ glasses and the balance weight baby (but at 3’ish, the ‘baby’ may be more active/distracting and without doubt, heavier).
The real threat would be Stef, his average is nearly 82!

OK…
So today I spent 30 minutes dry-firing the LPM-1 SSP.
I can now barely lift my arm, my back is killing me, and I’m going to spend all day tomorrow avoiding being drowned at my offshore survival refresher.
Perfect preparation for Wednesday! 😜
Yeah - where’s Stef gone? He was surely the favourite for this after his early performance.

Fatigue, pain and a near death experience.
Top class excuses and you've got them in early. 👍😀
It does seem that you've set yourself an extremely tall mountain to climb but we've no doubt you'll rise to the challenge.
Mind you, Outsourcing is all the rage just now - how much would Cool Hand Stef charge to take your shots? 🤔

Despite a level of dedication above and beyond the call of duty, Steve P was just a shade under 2nd place meaning the winner of this year's Pistol League is Russ. Well done, chaps!

Well done Steve, and thank-you for still completing a full card despite your Open University studies stopping you attending regularly. Your efforts are much appreciated! Also at least that night you had a legit excuse for an exhausted right arm.
