An update.
After trials of the NSRA 10m targets obtained by Russ, we're going to make them our "official" target.
Les, who has an amount of these targets, donated a few to keep things ticking over until the Club gets some stock in. Good man.
Stef expressed an interest in obtaining some for home practice (not that he needs it) and would reimburse the Club for 200 added on to the order.
Anyone else want some targets (minimum order of 100) for themselves? Speak now before I place an order.
We still have some stock of the "Bisley" double-sided targets and will continue to use them in some form, whether for practice or 10m rifle use.

Targets. 200 each for Stef, Steve and Russ. And I'll have 200 as well so I'll put in an order for 1800, leaving a round 1k for Club use at Denwood.
Attempts have been made to contact the NSRA Shop but they seem resistant to answering the phone or replying to emails. I read on another forum that their premises got hit hard in the recent storms and the phone lines were down so we may have to wait a while.

Hey Pistoleros!
Finally, the 10m pistol targets are ordered! No idea when they'll arrive but hopefully not too long.
Courtesy of Les, we've enough to keep us going with official entries in the meantime though. Stef, Russ, the two Steves and myself are all buying a wad from this GARC stock and if anyone else would like some for home use, just give me a shout and we'll work something out - they're better quality than the old Bisley targets (although just single sided for pistol use) and work out a bit cheaper seeing as we put in a bulk order.

Hey Pistoleros! I've just taken delivery of a huge lump of targets - 3,000 and 18kg-worth! A tenner will get you 200 of these lovely, crisp specimens so bring some cash which will go into GARC funds.  |

R Some of the "old hands" are dragging their feet but The Club is seeing an influx of new members and more than a couple of them are very promising with the pistols. Some gentle persuasion/arm twisting/press ganging may be in order to steer them on the True Path to Airgun Nirvana. It's for their own benefit and they'll thank us later.  |

Yet again, I'm not going to make it to Denwood tomorrow night so there'll be no one to pester you into shooting official cards.
You'll just have to pester yourselves and each other to give the League table a bit of a shakeup before it slips into a coma.

The Pistol League has, for various reasons, been under-subscribed this year but that hasn't stopped it being very closely fought. With one round left to shoot, Russ and Bri are sitting on 708 and 707 respectively. With the lifting of the one round per evening rule there's still two evenings for entrants to catch up on their rounds or for anyone else to start from scratch and cram in some shots for the craic and membership of that elite band of desperados, Los Pistoleros.  |

Russ and I have shot our Round 10 cards and the scores are...  ...going to be put up on the posh website tomorrow. There's still one evening's shoot to go so things are still open - time enough to get all ten rounds in from scratch if you put your mind to it as I put in six rounds in less than half an hour in the Open Pistol comp. |
