The last two years have been a washout regarding competitions but, in a haze of martini fuelled New Year optimism, can I raise the idea of having another try? Nothing has been carved in stone but I'm thinking one series along the lines of the 2019 comp and another for an "Anything Goes" class, both held on the 10m range. There's also been mention of a fastfire, steel plate comp on the 50m range for the CO2 repeating pistol fans. Before anyone works out the details and rules, can we please have a show of hands to see how many people would be interested? Obviously, I'm in and prepared to do the legwork if no-one else wants to have a go running things. Attachments:

‘Washout’? You ran a successful postal comp for both pistol and rifle. And Stuart is running an HFT winter league at Waulkmill.
Very generous of you to offer for 2022. If I get out of the mental fug about COVID19 I’d like to play in the pistol league please.

Count me in pls, mainly for the 10m target pistol league... and also for the outdoor CO2 'een, assuming we can all wait till warmer weather when such guns don't freeze after five rather derisory shots.
Cheers. Russ

I would give it a try for 10m target as long as I'm still walking about. Have to swap to left hand since chemo has damaged nerves in right shoulder and hand but right handed was rubbish anyway. Good job that rink left-handed grip arrived over Christmas at least I might get to use it for its intended purpose. I'll look forward to keeping a space at the lower/bottom of the league.

Gentlemen, that's the spirit I want to see! We'll need a few more stout fellows to throw their names in though so keep 'em coming.
If any of our new members would like to see what the appeal of pistols at 10m is, please don't be backwards at coming forwards - there's usually a selection of pistols (both target and conventional) upstairs and indoors at Denwood and you'll be welcome to check them out.

A good start!
However, to make things viable and interesting, we're going to need a few more names - Stef, do you and your rather nice Walther LPM-1 fancy having a go? We can probably count Nick R in as well - he'll be looking to get into the Winner's Enclosure this year, I reckon. And Liam's FAS pistol must be needing some exercise.
Don't forget that's just the Target side of things, we'll be doing an "Anything Goes" Open Class as well so Captain Chris and Paul S have no excuse.

I'm interested in the fast steel plate shoot outdoor thingy. Is it open to semis both rotary mags and butt mags?
If someone could explain what that is, you know, still learning.
I'm in need of a wooden spoon.

I fancy a crack at that too.
Andy has expressed an interest in organising it so we'll have to wait and see what he comes up with.
Might be a couple of months down the line though - CO2 repeaters don't like NE Winters!

Might be a couple of months down the line though - CO2 repeaters don't like NE Winters! A couple of months will suit me, I need some practice with the new Sig. Forgive my ignorance but are there (wait for it) rules for this or is it point in that direction and 'GO'?

I had my initial outing with the sig pistol on Wednesday and would have been better aiming at a barn door. I may just throw it down range next time.

Oh, you'll fit in nicely with the rest of us then! I did get wonderful and considered tuition when on the range 'you should try aiming lower' - (still missing) - 'aim higher then' - (same) - 'try to the left', etc. I was hitting some it just appeared random, I'm assuming its the newness and it needs bedded in.
