I built myself a target (spinners behind a faceplate with holes) to practice benchrest. There are ten holes/spinners; five holes are 8mm diameter and five are 6mm.
Anyone interested at testing their skills if I bring along the target?
When are we next indoors at Denwood.
I’ll take it to Waulkmill if anyone wants, but wind would be a hard opponent.

I'm game. The next indoor at Denwood is on 21 Dec (every second Wednesday of the month, it is only outdoors)

I'm keen to have a go - it'll be a good excuse to break out the AA 400.
Got a distance in mind?

You may recall an earlier topic (https://garc.freeforums.net/thread/111/reactive-benchrest-target) where I hyperlinked to a YT of a target (you commented on it) - it’s that target. I was going to put it at 25yds, but we can put it closer if people are intimidated about putting a pellet through a 6mm hole

Who?. Definitely a tricky business figuring out an electronic sensing system that takes all the required subtleties into account - can't blame you for going down a more mechanical route. I think you're right to be concerned about the intimidation factor regarding distance. Not everyone relishes challenge and competition so maybe make it 15m?

I haven’t given up on a bit of electronics - I just don’t seem to get round to learning about what I need to do. 15m? I’d have to re zero my scope. Damn, may even bring the .22 BSA Ultra to make it a challenge at that range. If we score, I was thinking of one shot at each hole; 1 point for the big holes and 2 points for the little holes.

No need to re zero - just buy another rifle and scope then set them up for 15m. 😁
