Russ has started his 2023 Open Pistol campaign with a disappointing 67 from his HW75.   Following his practice of week about shooting the Pistol League and Open Pistol and usually scoring much higher, this is a shaky start for him in what's going to be a hotly contested season. |

 The horrible thought that Russ may win this comp by virtue of being the only entrant was giving the HW40 and I sleepless nights so my opening 88 should give him something to think about. |

And here I was thinking I'll take my HW75 tomorrow, as I really should try to get my average closer/back nearer to 80.

FYI (everyone unaware) this league's open to any pistol and includes firing two-handed, though I use my HW75 and still shoot single-handed, though one eye shut and none of that fancy specs malarkey.

 An 80's themed night for Russ and myself. I'm thinking that this comp is somewhat falling between the cracks - too hard and daunting for the HFT'rs and plinkers among us and yet too lightweight for the other Pistoleros. Whatever the reason, it's looking like another two horse race. |

 With Russ concentrating on the Pistol League this week and none of the other Pistoleros to be seen, it was down to me to fly the flag. Quite chuffed with a 91.  |

Yep, highest score yet in any pistol comp.
I'm not especially worried about the Open Pistol comp as it's basically just Russ and myself and I'll easily beat him. Again. 😁
The real challenge is to outshoot Jean in the Pistol League. Now that's a tougher proposition.

Wow, ahead of the curve! I smashed together two urban dictionary words.
“Burn” is insulting or humiliating
“Flex” is to show off or brandish
Perhaps I’ll just stick to using the English language correctly and accept I’m 50 years on from being ‘current’.
