 Russ racked up a back on track 84 this week while I... Well, I don't know what happened this week. Seems I took a page out of the SteveP playbook with an 88 in practice followed by a less than satisfying official entry. My first official card was looking good until an appalling flyer which only just bothered the outer edge. And I wasn't happy with the second card either. Oh well, these things happen. Still leading albeit by a smaller margin.   |

Russ and the HW75 put in a rather decent 82 this week.  Both him and I have three rounds to go and there's a 41 point gap. Insurmountable? Anything is possible so time will tell.  |

 The HWs were brought out again for a 65 (Russ) and 79 (me.) There's not enough points on the table for Russ to overtake me but there's still the possibility of another Pistolero shooting all 10 rounds before the AGM so my victory isn't a done deal yet. C'mon Pistoleros - give it a try as it's embarrassing winning a competition I organise! |

Well done on your win Bri.
All you can do is put on the competition, it up to everyone else to join in.
"All you can do is put on the competition", ha! and a whole lot more that isn't obvious (like a seven month commitment of promoting, provision of targets, coordinating, scoring, forum/website updates and prizes). Although I didn't take part this year, thank you for the effort you put into the three Denwood competitions for the GARC members.

They'll be in the gun cabinets that's not been opened in... well, I don't know actually, maybe pre COVID, so 2019!. I wonder what condition they are in. I can't even remember how many I have. I'm sitting here searching my memory - I do remember a pcp pistol, an HW45, a plastic SSP from Beeman and the old Webley, I'm pretty sure I had another SSP and a CO2. Suppose the best way would be to go and look; maybe tomorrow. Out score you? I'd need at least 18 rounds to get near you! Even if I don't beat Russ, Bronze medal wouldn't be too bad in a field of 10-15 shooters, but not when there's only three people competing! |

A valiant effort which is not reflected by the gap in our scores because, throughout the competition, he's been shooting one-handed and open sighted with a bog standard HW75 against my modded and red dotted HW40 which I've been shooting two handed. Short of anyone having a frenzied last minute entry on the 15th, I'll be taking the gold though. |

Your modesty understates the size of the win margin. 59 points is massive, and seven of the ten rounds you smoked him. In saying that, if I had of joined in, I would have been behind both of you. The one-handed and iron sights were certainly handicaps. But that HW75 is all but a target pistol… and getting a higher score than on the other comp!!! |
