Had the pistol out last night (ahem), it's not seen any use recently (oh, grow up!).
I was shooting considerably better at 9m (as far as I can get in the workshop) last September than I did at 6m yesterday. And I was pretty rubbish at 9m!

I had a practice with the Dan Wesson today. I get comparable results to the Webley Typhoon at 6 metres, but whereas I can do that with the typhoon with some crappy old pellets I've had for years, the revolver insists on nice quality pellets or it shotguns them all over the place. I guess because the Webley has a longer barrel to instill some discipline in unruly ammunition! I haven't tried a red dot on the Wesson yet, but I have got one somewhere I could try (its iron sights are... industrial).
Edit: I've just reviewed the old postal thread and it seems using 5ps for the rifles had already been roughly decided upon but then things petered out. I would like some points though so can we keep at least a lower scoring larger hit area for the pistols

My vote is for one of Stoof's suggestion. £2 coin and 5p coin - zero point for completely outside the £2 ring, one point touching the £2 ring, two points for fully inside the £2 ring or three points for fully inside the 5p ring (whichever is the higher). When are we starting Bri? In case some members are interested, but not active on the forum, we should get the GARC Sec to send an email to all members.

Test card with the £2/5p system, scored to Who's system. Seems to work fine to me.

That looks like it'll work very well - can I ask someone here who knows how to do such things to make a downloadable template of such a thing so everyone can print out exact copies for themselves please?
The existing layout would work nicely so keep it at that. Make the lines of the circles of a thickness that can be seen at range and the fields for entering names, details and scores big enough to be easily read without having to enlarge things and we'll be fine. Some small changes I'd suggest though are filling in the bull with black for visibilty and keeping the whole thing just black on white. I'd also like to see the addition of a field for the round number - just makes life easier when collating results/tables.
Any further thoughts or ideas? I'd imagine we'd use this one target format for all classes.

Do you want it in .docx or .pdf format? Why am I asking this.... I’ll post both formats later this evening. I see a problem with a solid black bull, it was discussed “2” would be touching the inner ring and “3” fully inside the inner ring. How about a grey (so it’ll work with b&w. What about those without access to printers?

The eagle-eyed will see the attachments have the scoring rules written at the bottom of the sheet. The 50mm block at the bottom is so you can check if you have the 'scaling' correct in the printer setup. See below post for updated attachments

I'm one of those people who don't have a working printer so I can't see the finished product but I'm still concerned about the visibility of the centre 5p circle when it's in grey rather than black, especially for pistol shooting. Can anyone comment if this is a problem in practice?
Can I also suggest a small tweak to the Category field please? Instead of just "rifle" and "pistol" with the instruction to delete as applicable, could it be amended to "rifle" "open pistol" and "target pistol" to avoid the possibility of confusion?
I know entrants could just write "open" or "target" above "pistol" but then you'd have to include an explanation/request on the sheet whereas the other method wouldn't require it. Nitpicking perhaps but life as a NE Scot has taught me that people have an inexhaustible capacity for getting things wrong and then stubbornly defending their position to the death.
Best to just pre-empt these things at the design stage and K.I.S.S., I find.

Seems to work fine, easier to aim at than just a white circle.

How are you guys mounting your taregt sheets? I don't seem able to get nice neat round holes like you chaps were last time. I shot that last card with RWS Hobbies, which are flat nosed and I figured that would do the trick, but as you can see the holes are still ragged.
That sheet was pinned to several sheets of corrugated cardboard backed by wood.
Any tips?

Or the HW25 is a little lower power than my HW30 - thinking about it the HW75 punches clean holes, so may I'm wrong about the power. I use those foam rubber mats you can buy from Halfords (for garage floors), backed by a 2mm stainless steel sheet.
