Yep, noticed that too.
Maybe all new guns should have a name - can we write that into the Club Constitution?

Yep, noticed that too. Maybe all new guns should have a name - can we write that into the Club Constitution? Definately not, you all know that this will degenerate into the left handed whirlpool of political non correctness, how long will it take for a BSA ultra with synthetic stock to be called Rastus. As an aside,I used to own a Black Fiat Uno called Errol after one of my workmates, cos both of em were Black,Fast but unreliable. Of course,I realise that in todays politically correct climate,I am not allowed to say that,so I won`t

Paulthengine makes a good point - we must be vigilant and hold ourselves to high standards. Henceforth, the four Made in Birmingham guns I have are now called Tommy, Arthur, Polly and Finn - 10 points and a discerning nod if you get that one.
And who could possibly object if I called my four Weihrauch rifles Hitler, Himmler, Heydrich and Hess?

Now I think about it, Hitler, Hitler, Heydrich and Hess sounds like the fire brigade roll call in a Nazi version of Trumpton.
Yeah, ok I'll lay off the Martinis.

Just thought it sounded better. Did you know that the "Pugh, Pugh" in "Pugh, Pugh, Barney McGrue, Cuthbert, Dibble and Grubb" were identical twins? Who says this Forum isn't educational? Attachments:

Driving along in an army truck, In a humpety bumpety army truck. The people wave To the soldiers brave, Who sing and shout, As they lurch about. Oh we are in luck, We will never be stuck, In our humpety bumpety army truck. Now for some of us who are old enough to remember Trumpton, and just looked at this post. Don't you dare tell me that you didn't sing it in your mind to the tune written for it. just as you did with "Pugh, Pugh, Barney McGrue, Cuthbert, Dibble and Grubb", "Pugh, Pugh, Barney McGrue, Cuthbert, Dibble and Grubb" Rock on Brian Cant Attachments:
