From the lofty heights of shooting 90s, Jean dipped down with an 89. He's probably devastated and consoling himself/training further with weapons grade beer. Don't worry, If his hft is anything to go by, our naughty Norman is only an equipment malfunction away from a melt down. NO, stop it, I am not suggesting a spot of sabotage. |

 Russ had one of those &*$^£%& weeks while trying his newly acquired FWB 80. As happens from time to time, good practice cards suddenly become dire official ones - a very below par 64 was the result. Despite firing far too many practice and zeroing shots with a variety of pistols, I somehow managed an 86. Not sure how but I ain't complaining. |

 A near carbon copy of the previous week for Russ - a 66 with the new to him FWB 80. The scoring so far this year has been the highest in the comps history and I can't help thinking that two poor weeks for Russ has been enough to take him out of the running. I hope I'm proved wrong though as Russ is the Pistol League's keenest shooter and will be sure to give it his all until the final whistle. And I've been told that normal service (with the Izzy) will resume shortly so we can expect to see those scores back up in the 80's. |

 Two shooters and three scores. What madness is this? Well, some (most?) Pistoleros can't get to Denwood on a regular and reliable basis. Stef is one of this group and there's no way he can get enough rounds in at one a week so it's sensible and fair to open things up a bit. We can now shoot two rounds on the one evening if we desire. And Stef put this to good use with an 84 followed by an 80. Russ, having no such attendance problems shot a single round with the Izzy which was feeling a little lost and lonely after being put aside while he dallied with the FWB 80. A back on track 80 was the result. |

 Jean and the Steyr LP50 seem to be hitting it off. A 91 which is the highest score yet seen in the Pistol League.  |

 Talk about a one horse race! And I think we have an answer to my earlier post - "This year should also be interesting from a Neuroscientific point of view to see which substance best aids shooting skills as Jean the Naughty Norman seems to function on dangerously experimental strength beer from religious establishments, SteveP boosts his powers with single malt, I run on martinis, Russ is teetotal (weirdo) and Stef is so laid back he probably gets by on osmosis alone." Having sampled some of Jean's weapons grade beer, I have to say that it's good stuff but I'll sacrifice competition points in favour of martinis. |

 I've got no idea how this happened (well, actually I have - lack of practice, a hurried approach and being a bit rubbish) but, out of 20 official shots, I managed eight in the white. Really not surprised or happy about that. The look on neighbour Jean's face was confusing. It was one of either shock, disgust or shock and disgust. I couldn't tell which. Russ managed a better 77 which propelled him to the top spot although that'll probably only last until Jean stops practicing and puts in an official card.  |

Well spotted! No pee taking intended, it's just good old fashioned, honest, incompetence and now sorted. Mind you, it was appropriate and in accordance with my shooting at the time.  |
