If you don't subscribe to the "smaller deviation in head size and weight, combined with correct head size = tighter groups" then you needn't read any further.
I've been trying different JSB Exact batch numbers as I'm coming to the end of my 51110018-1 pellets. I buy from Intershoot as you can choose from the available batch numbers and they are competitively priced and delivery is free - oops sidetracked a bit there. Back on subject; batch 13070022-1 has a small deviation in head size and weight; with most coming in at 4.52mm (using the Pelletgage, not the fiction stated on the tin). This batch give acceptable groups (25m benchrest) through the barrels of my two PCPs - they are better with 4.52/4.53 (again actual, not fictional). If you want a small sample to try, then tap me up next time you see me. Oh, and btw, another currently available batch, 86070022-0, suffer a wider spread of head size and weight and the head size is on the small side 4.50/4.51 leading to bigger group size (probably OK for my standard of HFT shooting) but does lower my BR scores.
Talking of BR, see my post on BR at Denwood.
