-You have a soft case but a hard case is better. -2nd hand shooting mats are every where.I have 3 of them.poss 4. - a cleaning kit isn't a necessity. All you need is a Napier pull through kit and a tin of silicone spray(not lubricant) Too much barrel cleaning isn't good for accuracy unless you own something exotic, like a Steyr or Anschutz etc, that needs cleaned a lot. Your s400 has probably only had a couple of barrel cleans in it's lifetime because it just doesn't need it. -sling.you've got one complete with QD swivels. -30mm mounts. Sports match TO35C 2 piece low mounts are ideal for your Millett scope.Though your Millett scope isn't gonna be great for target shooting - air cylinder. If you buy 2nd hand make sure it has a long test on it.

"What did I forget?"
Pellets?
I've found JSB Exacts (the standard 8.44gn ones) work very well in my '400.

-Pellets JSB's, any jsb's. If you zero it with express 7.9g it'll then shoot exact 8.44's slightly low and RS 7.3's slightly high but in all in a straight line. Handy to know on a windless day.
It'll give you decent groups with any quality pellet but anything from the jsb stable works best.

I can't wait to start learning how to shoot a rifle!
I, if you have a shooting mat for sale, I'll take it. Would you have one with an integrated heating system and a cup holder for my beer?
Does the rifle also come with its specific adapter to transfer compressed air from an air cylinder?
Could you please PM me with the name of the dealer you usually trust for your shooting gear, and a scuba shop in Aberdeen, and also your favorite brands for silicone spray?
I don't know much about scopes. The Millet is great to shoot at 300+ yds, I understand the air rifle would have a much shortened range?

PM sent
Wynn's or Hycote are my silicone sprays of choice.
Aberdeen is useless for all things airgunning.
I think Chris W has the club air compressor so cylinder fills shouldn't be an issue.

Could I just poke my oar in with regard to dive cylinders, hoses and adapters etc. For years I filled my PCP rifles with various hand pumps, having suddenly got a lot older I found pumping a gun to 300Bar was Heart Attack inducing, so after much investigation I purchased a Yong Heng 300Bar compressor (Yes it`s Chinese, so is your computer and mobile phone) This thing is about the same price as a decent cylinder set up, tops up an S400 in about 5 minutes and has been in use for over a year without needing to go to a dive compressor and pay extortionate amounts for less than half a cylinder of compressed air ( divers breathe the cylinder down to 50Bar before re filling ) There is always the problem of water in the air, I have tried to find this problem in my set up and can`t find any. In my previous life as a commercial diver, I came across lots of cylinders that we scrapped due to internal corrosion, and these had been filled exclusively with "Breathing Air Compressors" If Naughty Norman or anyone for that matter, would like to come and have a look at my set up, give us a phone on 01771 644019, bring yer gun and your fill probe and you get a free fill Cheers Paul
