I am sure we will be able to get a gun for you N. Norman. This time one that may shoot around corners, after you last dazzling performance at Waulkmill.

A great day and night thank you to all involved. Now it will be even harder to not go window shopping before I get my licence.

Happy to hear that you'd a great time - the Waulkmill Warriors do give a warm welcome and excellent banter!

Not being a best selling author, here's a boring account.
No pictures.
Got there, three of us painted & oiled the targets and set the glow sticks. Paul fixed the extension lead for the generator. A bit more course cleaning and glow sticks activated. Went to Paul's for a "all day breakfast", thank you Paul and Mrs Paul.
Had a safety briefing, split into pairs, went and shot. Martin arrived a little later as he hadn't got the message about the earlier start to beat the weather. Wind made its presence felt not only out on the course but also in the scores - it is difficult when it is windy and you cannot see the undergrowth or string moving because of the dark.
The earlier start was proved correct, the threatened rain and high winds of the BBC weather forecast never materialised. We all made it back dry and not too cold.
Thank you to Paul for providing the generator to power the lighting. With lighting we were able to count up the 0s, 1s and 2s:
1st Martin - 46 =2nd Teri - 38 =2nd Ian - 38 4th Robert - 37 =5th Chris - 36 =5th Steve - 36 =7th Paul - 32 =7th Jean - 32
Martin soundly thrashed the lot of us, the margin of victory was exceptional. Honourable mentions: Teri, first time back for a while, and Ian, newest member/first shoot as a member/first competition/ shooting a borrowed gun (a Steyr!).
There will be a night shoot in December - date to be decided/advertised. I also fancy a "it's snowing shoot" (yeah, I'm weird in loving the snow), so keep your eyes peeled for a very short notice announcement - hopefully global warming won't step in and thwart that plan.

A short account but not boring - thanks!
In the absence of any further details (c'mon Chris - set pen to paper/fingers to keyboard,) I'll pad it out for the website with some stuff that comes into my martini fuelled imagination.
Any pics?
