Hello all, Just a remainder that this Sunday we have our first at home interclub shoot, HFT rules. There has been a lot of work put into a brand new course by so few club members, so please can we have a good turn out for this high profile event for GARC. The weather is predicted as sunny and warm on the day. You will need to bring your own food and drink for the day. All Club members are very welcome and encouraged to shoot in this event......Support your club. Supporting Staff - With a club of over 100 members GARC needs you for this event and for other roles as well.....support your club. So if you feel that you don't want to pull the trigger at this event! Your help is still required to ensure a good day out for those taking part in this event. We needs Marshalls (5) to act as safety officers and signing in (admin staff). Or come along to see what a HFT event is all about. The opening time is from 9am with a kick off for 11am. Fee is £6 for the day, none shooting players are free. Lets show these southern Scottish air rifle clubs what being a member of a club is all about!!! and having a good day out enjoying our chosen sport. See you there! |

Is Sunday not Fathers Day? Yes. Tell the family, that on this special day, their gift can be to spend time with you sharing your pastime... won't cut the mustard? it wouldn't work for me either! This competition is a UKAL event (that GARC puts at our Waulkmill shooting ground), so the date isn't a completely free choice. Next UKAL comp at Waulkmill, is on 28th August. No UK 'occasion' on the 28th August, but it is National Bow Tie Day in USA - personally I'll give that celebration a miss (like I do with most other silhouette targets  ). |

Is Sunday not Fathers Day? and? it's not like fathers day is any different to any other sunday.
it's also world martini day,national garfield the cat day,national turkey lovers day,world sickle cell day,world sauntering day and the end of meet a mate week.
28th aug isn't just national bow tie day it's national red wine day,national cherry turnover day,rainbow bridge remembrance day,pony express day and radio commercials day.
there's a day for every mundane and pointless reason you can think of up to and including days for peoples imaginary friends birthdays and death days.
