It was good fun trying the HFT courses for the first time. Nice to meet other members and shoot the breeze as well as some pellets. Thanks to Chris for showing us round.

I realised towards the end of the day, it wasn't so much a Waulkmill Open Day, as a GARC social event hosted at Waulkmill.
The weather was not too hot, it remained dry and there was just enough wind to make you think about aiming off to compensate. I only heard happy people, which is great. I even had the opportunity to introduce Craig and his son, Dermot, to HFT at Waulkmill (I think they pulled the short straw as there are members more proficient and knowledgeable about HFT then me). Credit where credit is due, Dermot's gun handling and discipline is exemplary (reflects well on Craig), he's also a good shot. Next time, with a gun/scope better suited and set up for HFT distances, he will enjoy himself even more (let Chris or I know and we'll see what we can do to help).
If anyone was offered advice on shooting or equipment, it's always wise to understand the experience and knowledge that advice is based upon.
Great to see everybody - it's been a long time since I've seen Bri... and heard the rapid fire of his race gun.

Good to see you too, Steve.
The Tanfoglio Gold custom Race Gun was very popular on the plinking range. More than a few people young and old had big grins on their faces after a mag or two with it.
And, as others have said, it was great to see people sharing their toys and just enjoying the occasion and talking about airguns. Never had the time to talk to everyone but it was still PDG - roll on the next Open Day in 2023!

We had a great day and will definitely be back. We’ll certainly shout yourself or Chris for some technical assistance. Thanks again
