We go into a new year; for some reason I don’t get the feeling of “out with the old, in with the new” as I’ve had with previous years. No doubt this is driven by personal circumstances.
There are many people dealing with things in their life, I wish them a improvement in their circumstances.
I’m going to be less indulgent of and diplomatic to the increasing number of people with the ‘sense of entitlement’ - is that me being guilty of the same thing I’m fed up of in others?
So, I wish you all the success and happiness in 2022 that you work for and deserve.

Thanks Who?
A few years ago, during a mellow spell, I resolved to no longer use the word "hate." Trouble is, I found myself saying "detest," "loathe" and "despise" instead. So ballcocks to New Year Resolutions from now on.

So, I wish you all the success and happiness in 2022 that you work for and deserve. No WHO, to "be less indulgent and diplomatic to the increasing number of people with a sense of entitlement" is really common sense and can be condensed into "Don`t suffer fools gladly" I have watched Chris Ward in particular spend hours and countless tins of his pellets in a vain attempt to get newbies to actually hit something other than grass. I was once berated cos I hadn`t given profuse thanks to someone who turned up for the afternoon to do some strimming. No body gave me and the other course setters thanks nor was any expected after a week of work, and as Steve knows it is easy to end up working on the course on your own, soaking wet with dark fast approaching ( I was a bit late and arrived after he had left ) I have heard comments such as "Targets need painting" or " strings broke on number 12 " or the classic " bout time we had a different course" Now I am not the only high priest who is allowed on that Holy ground the other side of the firing line, so if you see a problem, FIX IT, I, nor any of the committee actually own the copyright to any course layout at Waulkmill, so if you wan`t to improve it, on you go! So yes, I agree with WHO in his sentiments and my resolutions for 2022 :- 1 Try not to die. 2 Try to reduce essential tremor with medication, surgery or voodoo. 3 Improve shooting (see 2 ). 4 Sadly, whilst I should just do what I want, i will still offer assistance to those who need it ( No you can`t have my gun ) A Happy, Prosperous and more importantly Healthy 2022

Its been an odd couple of years.
Happy New Year to all, hopefully I'll start to get to know some of you as I attend more and more. May I leave this sentiment here meantime....
Even a blind squirrel gets a nut to eat occasionally
Good shooting everyone.
