You could put a Wanted ad for grips in Stirton.com and see if anyone has a set lying about.
A tip for Stirton.com is to put a deliberate, technical mistake in the ad. Seems an odd thing to do but they're a quiet, slightly odd, bunch who might be slow to help but fast to jump in and correct you on a technicality.
I did that with a thread on shooting spec lenses. Only one helpful chap posted a reply in 24hrs but, as soon as I printed a deliberate mistake, the Forum heavy hitters weighed in within minutes.

Relieved to hear that its quantum state has been confirmed. Seems a shame to remove the stickers though - they give it a proven, battle hardened character. Yeah, I'm kind of wavering on the stickers. They add history and authenticity to the gun, but (IMO) they detract from the looks - and the grips REALLY need to be cleaned. I thought about replacing the grips and keeping the originals in "as-is" condition, but the price of a new set is in the region of £160! Have a go at making your own - a couple of quid for a bit of cheap pine to start with. You have the pattern.

Well... It would appear that the gods of fortune are looking favorably upon me. I was the happy recipient of an unexpected windfall the other day, so have ordered a new set of Rink grips via Edinkillie Sport Services, in Edinburgh: www.edinkillie.co.uk/ecatalog/index.php Shout out to Andrew the office manager, who was ever so helpful when I realised that I'd messed up my online order! I'll now keep the original grips in their current condition, warts-and-all, and go shooting with the new set. Happy days!

Rink grips? Very nice!
Can you bring yourself to shape them though? I recently set about the Izzy grips with the idea of carving some finger grooves into them. Soon gave that up that notion as I remembered why I failed Woodwork at school.
However, I did stipple the grips and that feels like it's made a big difference. Will try it out properly at Denwood tomorrow night.

Should be able to make it to Denwood tomorrow - we'll see what work and weather have in store for me, though.

Yeah - and for that you join a 4-6 week waiting list.

Have you got the rinky-dinky grips yet?
Pictures please, I’d like to see what that sort of money buys.

That is indeed a nice looking pistol, I am afraid that I did not have the funds to get something as POSH as your pocket rocket SteveP. But I did pick up a Buster Crabbe DX1 from Ray's Gun's in Ellon the other day!
