Ok, I admit "Scandal" was clickbait. But now you are here -
Now personally I've not been to Denwood or Waulkmill...... ever, but to bring you the truth - you can't handle the truth - I have deployed drones and other legal'ish means of listening in to what as been going on.
STS - well, even I'm scared to publish some of the inadequacies I've heard said about STS, even though they are demonstrably true!
The growth of GARC membership has grown faster than a fast growing thing, this despite - or maybe because - of this pesky COVID19. thetruthlessreporter is current looking into the sheep at Waulkmill to see if there is any correlation between member growth and the now available abundance of the quadrupedal, ruminant mammal.
You heard it here first. I can reveal, exclusively, despite the claims of lead shortages and effects of brexit, the real reason for the pellet shortage is the ANZAC attempt to secure their borders from the covid infected foreigners. Mark my words, now that OZ has decided to live with covid we will start seeing pellets becoming available again. On the grapevine, one enterprising member is offering JSB .177 at £83.29 per 200 pellets - buyer beware though, some may have a little "skirt damage" having already hit a target.
It is said, many 'old hands'' shooting skills are being shown up by the new members (about time, it was rumoured SAGA was going to sponsor the GARC competitions). The reaction has been varied, from just not shooting, through, very loud accusations of cheating (such an unsavoury word), right up to spending £thousands acquiring new 'wonder' guns.
And finally global warming, if nothing else, has dried up some of the Waulkmill water courses. Which doesn't explain rumours of targets over regulation distance (although spherical aberration in drone photography makes this impossible to verify), or the bald eagle target with the wingspan of a light aircraft.
Signing off and keeping you informed.
