Ok, so I've gone and bought another 10m pistol. It's another LPM-1, but this one has a twist. I do like odd guns, so couldn't let this one pass. Can you spot the difference? I gave it a clean and zeroed it today and it shoots well. The grip is wrong for my hand, though (same as the other one) and the trigger needs adjusted to suit me. But... it feels like the previous owner has thread-locked the trigger adjustment screws...

Looks like there's bits missing from the new one - I'd ask for a refund.
A purposeful looking pistol. I assume it's PCP rather than CO2? And is it regulated?

Surely you’ll need a left-handed grip for one of them!
Difference - lack of stickers and carrying handle.
What do the Borg glasses look like that allows you to sight both at the same time?

Yup - regulated PCP, but that's pretty much all I know about it. The seller told me that Walther did a few factory LPM-1 conversions, and that this is one of those. I have no evidence to back that up though - it could just have easily been converted by Joe Bloggs in his garden shed. The serial number is a few hundred older than my SSP, with both of them being in the 15,000's. I guess it could be worth writing to Walther to see if they could give me any more info. I did manage to find mention of another converted LPM-1 on a Polish forum, but it ain't the same. Here's a picture of it: Did I mention that I like odd guns?

Comparing the two I’d say yours was the legit one and the polish one was a home brew. The part the cylinder mates to on yours matches the original design of the CO2 pistol, whereas the polish one is an altogether cruder looking adaptation with its dodgy looking trigger guard and whatever misfortune has befallen the end of the muzzle.

How does the new PCP handle? The grips look smaller than your SSP but, that aside, do you need to alter/be more aware of your handling of the gun due to the more exposed trigger?
And how long before Schrodinger's Siblings become The Schrodinger Triplets? Or, to keep the cat motif alive, Schrodinger's Litter?

Well, if you're going to split hairs, shouldn't it be Schrödinger's Clowder?

Well, if you're going to split hairs, shouldn't it be Schrödinger's Clowder? Agreed (after I looked up what a clowder was!) but it was the double meaning of the word Pride - the warm glow SteveP gets when he sees and shoots them. But yes you are right.

And how long before Schrodinger's Siblings become The Schrodinger Triplets? Or, to keep the cat motif alive, Schrodinger's Litter? The grip on the PCP is identical to the one I took off the SSP (and replaced with the Rink one). Weirdly, even though it looks, and is, smaller (it's a size M, as opposed to the XL Rink) it feels bigger. It is significantly wider, from left to right, than the Rink, particularly at the top, between thumb and fore-finger. This splays my hand out and feels unnatural. However, also weirdly, I've managed to adjust this one so that it is comfortable enough to shoot with, which I just couldn't do with the original one on the SSP - even though it's an identical, Medium sized, factory grip. Go figure. Handling it is certainly different. With the SSP, I load the pistol then hold it with the thumb of my left hand on top of the barrel and my four fingers under the cocking lever whilst I take a grip with my right hand. Can't do that with the PCP, 'cause there's no cocking lever! I'm acutely aware that the trigger is more exposed, so take more care once it's loaded. How's about Schrödinger's glaring? At least until they learn to trust one another.
