And a BIG Thank You to Terri, Abbey, Stuart and Tony who provided us with a well run and oiled safety team at this event, also a pat on the back for the course builders (bless them, they are knocking on in age you know) with many comments in how enjoyable and challenging this course was! and yet again no one got a clear round, so we must be doing something right!!!. A good day indeed, with no pulled targets or malfunctions during the comp. But alas two, but only two cease fire calls for target checkers to attend and confirm that these hot shots had missed the kill zone. Well done to Allan who went around with his open sight HW77 .22 spring rifle. And the best part was ..nice to see so many of our club members having a go for the first time at a formal HFT comp. Point of interest was, as a club we came second in the points scoring for this day. And as a reward I got to kiss the ladies at their prize giving, I was faster in the chase and they could not get away in time once my sights were set on them. Yes we did good as a club in this event today

Unless he’s making it up, who told Greg Morss we were going to set a course shooting up from the ‘valley of doom’ into both the top and bottom courses?

I might have told him we were gonna shoot anyone waving a gun about,or pointing at others. Seems to have worked

Cracking day out shooting - huge thanks and appreciation to all involved in organising and running the event, and to all the competitors for being such good company!
I'll be back again to serve as the 'strength at the base of the pillar' for the .22 table!

You should change your name from Al to Usul then.

The “Usal” reference went over my head.

That's good - it means you're not a sci-fi nerd.

That's good - it means you're not a sci-fi nerd. Even with the revised spelling (Usul) I was still flummoxed. A Google later and… aha! Dune - heard of it, but a ‘classic’ I haven’t read of watched.
