I've just heard (courtesy of John S) that Octopus in Stonehaven are no longer filling or testing air bottles.
Assuming your bottle is within test, Chris W is your man for getting it refilled but I don't know of that many places where you can get a test and certification.

Blue Anchor in Fraserburgh do cylinder testing but that'll probably be too far for most people

Thanks for the heads up, Bri M. That's a pity about Octopus. They were reasonably handy for those of us to the west of Aberdeen. I suppose we'll just have to take a day trip to The Broch now. Might run out of things to do very quickly...  |

Just a quick bit of feedback using Total Safety in Howe Moss Drive, Dyce. They have just refilled a 12litre bottle for £10 and in addition did a hydro test and fill on a 7litre bottle £51.36. Really friendly staff but their test engineer only work 3 days a week so putting in a bottle for testing can take some time depending on his work load, in my case this took 10 days due to him being away. I had no problem with this and their service was spot on. Beats travelling up to the Broch. I am also informed they have picked up a lot of Octopus business since they stopped their service.
