We used to hire Kineller community hall for our agm but it got to the point where only 10 people would turn up so,back in the day when we didn't have a shitload of disposable income,it became economically non viable.
Also if you have a lot of things to be getting on with then do it in your own time and don't b expecting the club to be changing something that has been on the cards for 6months.
Don't leave your bitching til the last minute.its not all about you.
Good luck to the new committee. YOu're gonna need it.

Cor, thats a lot milder than what I was gonna post, I have composed three separate posts and on reflection have not submitted them, pity the original poster did not do the same. It really boils my piss that we have people who turn up, shoot and bugger off leaving others to do the work and organising that keeps this club going. If any of you regard the AGM as a waste of time, then don`t come,your lack of presence will probably enhance the proceedings You lot don`t know what goes on behind the scenes, nor are you interested, far too busy to take any constructive part, well, let me tell you that those of us who try to run Grampian Air Rifle Club also have important things to do.
I don`t blame Steve for standing down, it`s bad enough putting in all that hard work in organising the club for free, but when decisions on AGM are called into question at the last minute, jus for badness, i would have resigned. Anyway, rant over, the hornets nest has been removed from my hat. To answer other comments in this thread Me an the Donkey are just good mates, we have a few beers on a Friday so he can face the Ghastly Kids at the petting zoo on Saturday. I am indeed The Right Worshipfull Master Bates of Lodge Leask No 1084 on the roll of The Grand Lodge of Scotland, but as we are not operative, but Free and Accepted or Speculative Freemasons, I don`t go looking for stone cutting kit, I prefer working with Metals, so I suppose I am more of a Brother to Tubalcain ( go on, Google it, you know you want to ) Never caused others to suffer with my singing or dancing, have achieved my current physique without recourse to a gym, in fact, the closest Iv`e been to a Gym is Jim Beam
