And that's a solid four point lead. Or it will be next time I draw up the table.

And a 27 to finish.
This is going to be very close, I look forward to seeing the other cards come in!

Stoof takes the lead but Mr C can still snatch a win. We can neither confirm nor deny rumours that Alex has barricaded himself in his garage with a case of energy drinks, a ream of practice targets and a copy of Paul Mckenna's self help book "How to unlock your inner shooting god."

I'm not partisan in this, I just want to see someone score '30'!
Mathematically its now down to the two heavy-weights. Odds are on Stoof for this month, damn good consistency.

A "2" or a "3"? The hole looks more square than circular. Even with the Eagle Eye scoring gauge it's arguable. The hole is bigger than .177, move the Eagle Eye to one edge of the hole it's a "2", move it to the other edge it's a "3". But I'm calling it a "2" as it's not certain. Come on Alec, you're our last chance of a "30" this round.

A valiant attempt Steve. It's all down to Alex now unless other members have a go in the next six days.

Any attempt was futile, unless by some undetectable means of cheating I was able to score 32!
Bri and Chris need to get shooting this comp.
To those who do have enough space, give this a go, I know its not for everyone, but there is something compelling as you see the holes appear more regularly in the black.

"Bri and Chris need to get shooting this comp."
Yes, yes they do. Maybe next month...

The stakes are raised as we near the finale - stayed tuned as the identity of "H" will be revealed. (H = Hotshot.)

Ooooh close! Can Alex muster a 29 to draw or a 30 for the win?!

Oh, yeah! Alec is keeping us on the edge of our seats... radio silence, then drops a target bomb!
Looking forward to the May comp, sounds like Bri is going to join in. Can we entice/embarrass/bribe Chris to have a go? Or other members who are watching from the sidelines?

Well, he's keeping you on the edge of your seat - he's just emailed me his final card and his score is...
I'll tell you tomorrow.

The wait is over. I can now reveal that the identity of "H" (cue drumroll) is... Stoof! Alex put in a stout 28 - just a point short of sharing 1st place. Interestingly, he racked up the same (136) as last month which was enough to see him win then but Stoof managed to find some extra points over his previous month's score and that's what this is all about: improvement and becoming a better shot. We shouldn't overlook Steve's part in this as well. Plinking from a table, rest and chair is all good and well but competing in standing shot competitions (no matter how informal) is a different thing altogether and he wasn't far off the winning score so kudos to Mr L. Well done to everyone and let's see our first 30 next month!
