Diana Bandit. Not the best gun out there: it will need some modification to get it to shoot consistently, although accuracy is supposedly pretty good. But at the price it was difficult not buy one.

Interesting. Is that new or s/h?
Correct me if I'm wrong but this is the Diana branded version of the PP800, a PCP version of the CP1-M?

and is indeed a version of the PP800 Artimis / CP1 , nice looking James Bond styling, could be fitted with a slip on rear stock, comes in .177 / .22 with a mag of 7 for .177 and 5 in .22. and available in pink for the over 61's. A very under- rated pistol...don't knock them to much! The price is great value for money and will do all that is required of it (more if you work on them), in which ever form it is branded. But not in the same league as other PCP pistols, as used by the borg.

No knocking at all - got a CP1-M myself and (magazine aside) it's a cracking thing for the money.

That's just giving Daystate ideas for another of their Limited Editions. £2,000 sounds about right and expect it to have a multi-coloured laminate stock and glowing write-ups in the comics.

But not in the same league as other PCP pistols, as used by the borg. Indeed, the 'Mr Cheapskate' in me says < 1/ 4 the cost of an HW44, or about 1/ 10 of a Steyr/FWB/Walther pcp pistol. Equally 'Mr Reality' in me says phrr, yeah, but you're comparing apples with caviar!. As long as I can outscore my HW75 with it I'll be happy. Just the bloody name - "Bandit", alright if you're pre-teen, but otherwise...

Well, you know it's not going to be on a par with full-on Match pistols but it does have an advantage over the HW44 - you can shoot it without a chair, table and beanbag rest.
Just google images of "shooting an HW44" to see what I mean.

It has arrived, ordered Sunday, delivered Friday - I’ve waited longer for a gun from UK RFDs. First impressions... much better than I expected, but then my expectation was pretty low (a pcp pistol for <£150!) The Good: - Accuracy in my hands is a good as any pistol I’ve shot and better than most
- The finish on the gun parts and grip
- The trigger can be set nicely
- Bizarre windage adjustment, but it works
- Nice ‘soft’ case
- 40+ shots per fill (have to check over chrono)
- Nothing damaged and it all works
- Effective silencer, that can be easily removed
The Bad:- The pellet tilts as it is pushed into the barrel, but it can be started in by finger (now, now)
- The latching of the hammer is notchy
- The trigger adjustment screw loosens, resulting in trigger pull getting heavier
- Screw too short to get correct vertical setting of rear sight
The Ugly- The magazine doesn’t feed wadcutters consistently
From the world of YouTube I thought I going to have to de-burr, fit a regulator and generally tidy up all the mechanisms, very pleased I don’t have to do any of that. Aside a drop of threadloc (maybe another grub screw) on the trigger adjustment screw, I’m just going to shoot it and let it all bed-in.

With the exception of the well-known magazine crapness (use the single shot tray instead,) that doesn't sound too bad - certainly some scope for gentle tinkering.
When loading my CP1, I've noticed that the bolt/probe can slide back and forwards depending on the angle that the gun is held at. I've got an idea for indexing the bolt in a fully closed or open position but that'll have to wait until I come off Furlough and get the use of my workshop again.

Well Chrono time today. Not seen the likes of the power curve (fps) before, no sweet spot, just a constant decay of fps from the first to last pellet. Using RWS Hobby 7gr - 72 shots from (about) 185barg to (about) 80barg. Not sure what to do with the exhaust valve spring and/or hammer spring to change the shape of the power curve; can anyone point me in the direction of a 'paper' so I can learn please?
Fitted a cheap red dot and got a good (for me) group - at 6m 10 shoots almost covered by a 10p.
Put about 150 shots through it so far and beginning to bed in nicely; should I be worried that it is wearing so quickly?
Ordered some low strength Loctite to stop the trigger adjustment grub screw from coming loose.
Any way, I'm a happy bunny. No, I haven't been partying with B-T-H; they're a different genus, silly.
ps, 'er in doors found out, still got my balls though- she loves me!
It’s still a cheap Chinese gun, it’ll never be a respected target pistol. What with the HW30, I seem to be enjoying the simpler pleasures!

Bandit - a fitting name for a gun owned by a member of the notorious Los Pistoleros gang. And you won't need Borg glasses, just a sombrero.
