I'm getting a lot of enjoyment from shooting an (out of the box) HW30s, especially with a peep sight... bizarre!

And here is another unexpected thing that happen tonight! While searching e-bay for some spare parts, I noticed that someone had put a B2 up for sale as spares, the write up and photos showing the rifle in bits but 99.9% complete with just the trigger guard missing but the screws for the guard were there too, with a bit knocked around stock, not a bad buy for under £20! if you might want it? It sold for £72.00 plus £6.95p, the buyer could have bought a brand new for less than £55 unbelievable!! £78.95p in total I have noticed that there are people out there now selling complete rifles/pistol's as spares ( in broken down form) so not to break e-bay rules. I am currently bidding on a almost complete (just sights missing?) 1905 LJ which is in poor shape but would make a great project to get this wonderful old Granny up and running again.

Nearly £80 for a B2??!! And it's in bits. Without even a scope, bag or half a tin of mouldy pellets. Words fail me.
Even more bizarre is an HW30S running well straight out of the box. Still, it's a popular rifle that Weihrauch make in large numbers - by the Law of Averages they had to get at least one right if only by luck.
Who?, if I was you, I'd buy a lottery ticket while things are still going well.

Damn - the hole in that peepsight is almost as big as the one on your BSA Buccaneer!

Not being into springers, maybe it is a POS and I don’t know any difference... but I’m enjoying shooting it

The peep sight is such a big improvement over the notch type ‘iron sight’ that I’m looking for a period correct one for the Improved Model D.

Oooff - that's steep for a box of bits!
Mind you, if some muppet can pay nearly £80 for some B2 junk then I'm surprised this didn't reach four figures.

Well its a good idea to search for BSA stocks as well, just (last month) picked up a 1/4 stock for a model D and guess what ? its got a period BSA rear peep sight already fitted. Not bad for £55 incl postage. No its not for sale and say I was lucky with this one,.... on a buy it now and only had been listed for 12 minutes when I spotted it.

Who?, if I was you, I'd buy a lottery ticket while things are still going well. Well, I didn’t buy a lottery ticket, but I have bought another 30S, direct from Germany. Be interesting to see if there is any difference between guns intended for the UK and German market (aside, in Germany being cheaper, 7.5J and with interchangeable element fore sight - which is an extra £70 to buy in the UK!)
