And we're off! Russ, SteveP - are you going to let Who? get away with this? Right, Things have been REALLY hectic at home for the last month or two, but are hopefully starting to settle down now. If so, then I'll happily jump aboard with the pistols. I'll just have to rustle up a target holder to suit A4 and I'll be good to go.

What are the diameters of the circles you're using? I don't have a printer but I have some kind of archaic pointy stick thing that holds a pencil in one end that, according to some old manuscripts I found, can be used to scribe a circle on some parchment... or does it not really matter if I use a more traditional bullseye style target anyway?

10p coin size.
Full rules (there's not many) on the Posh website.

I can just manage 6m diagonally across my (rather cluttered) garage.
No Orks or Imerial Guard were harmed in the shooting of this target
Edit: Ah, rules appeared in the interim. I'll have another crack later.

Well I am not going to arm wrestle with you stoof! That's some rooting tooting shooting with the Typhoon, takes me two hands to lift mine and a second person to help cock it!
Nice Card

10p you say...
Choices choices...!
A bit inconsistent, but it's a start! Yes, I shot at the same circle twice at the bottom left. Still missed the bugger twice

Nice Card Getting tired is a definite problem with shooting a heavy brute like a Typhoon with one hand - compare these two cards, shot one after the other. My poor muscles!

That’s a grouping.

My catch-up round 2 card. I have made a minor modification to the Typhoon - I've filed the front blade into a bit of a point and added luminous green paint to both the tip of it and the sides of the rear sight. Makes things a bit clearer!
Didn't much help the score though:
The bottom row is very nice (well, until the last shot).
I think there's a balance to be struck with the Typhoon between getting a few practice shots in beforehand, but not too many since it's so heavy to aim and you can quickly get the dreaded wobble. I did this card without shooting any practice shots. It looks like 5 is a good number of practices to have
13 is better than 11 anyway!

I've got the Hatsan Mod 25 variant of the Typhoon. Not quite as nice as the Webley (even more plastic) but can't complain for £30.
It can be improved a fair bit by stippling the grip (which is far too small and smooth) with a soldering iron. Once you bite the bullet and commit to the process, it's remarkably quick and easy and looks "proper."
The benefit is that you can grip the gun less tightly but still securely. Haven't got any pics of mine to show (I'm not in the same place as a lot of my guns) but it works for me.

That certainly sounds interesting, if you do manage to take a picture please let me see.
Today's pistol card was a marked improvement anyway. The green sights and five practice shots paid off beautifully with the light artillery piece:
Very happy with that indeed.
The same can't be said over on the Rifle side though, dropping from a 20 yesterday to 16 today

18/05/2020 - 16/20
I might have hit my limit with this pistol at the moment. I did a few regular cards at the weekend and I'm not getting any better results than this. I'll keep at it and see if I can eke another couple of points out, but I doubt I'll be able to hit 20. There always seems to be one shot that wanders off

And we're off: Open pistol, first round. Gamo Compact with red dot sight: 14/20.I fired the Gamo one-handed, 'cause I couldn't hit a barn door using two hands!
